Kastar Hand Tools (formally known as Kastar, Inc.) was founded in 1929 by Samual Kaplan and L. Stark in New York, New York. The Company later moved to Bellport Long Island where it remained until it was acquired in 1985 by A & E Incorporated, and moved to Racine, Wisconsin.
The late Daniel M. Lang founded A & E INCORPORATED in 1932. From this one-man operation A & E has developed a family of companies which manufacturers and distributes specialty automotive/industrial tools, retaining ring pliers, small engine pulleys, and produces custom contract metal stampings, and distributes quality German tools.
